Ensuring every NDIS participant has access to the highest quality supports will be the focus of two new pilots to commence this year.

The Self-Management Advisory Group (SMAG) met online on 6 February 2025.

The NDIA has released an approach to market (via a Request for Tender) for support need assessment tools for adults (16 years and over) and an industry consultation process (via a Request for Information) about how best to understand support needs for children and specific kinds of support funded by the NDIS.

Participants will now have more time to get information to us. We have extended the timeframe for participants to provide additional information to support eligibility reassessments from 28 to 90 days.

There is an upcoming planned multi-system outage. Planned outages allow us to update and improve our systems.

This is a summary of the Participant Reference Group’s (PRG) meeting. The Participant Reference Group (PRG) makes sure the NDIA hears and understands the participant voice. The PRG has 23 members from participant and carer organisations across Australia. The NDIA uses feedback from PRG meetings to keep making the NDIS better.
