Partners in the Community (PITC) New South Wales grant round
The NDIA has awarded up to $434 million to organisations across New South Wales to deliver the Partners in the Community Local Area Coordinator services.
The NDIA regularly approaches the market through an open tender process to identify suitably qualified organisations, able to deliver Local Area Coordination Services to our participants. The selection process is a competitive open approach to market that may result in either retention of current partners or new partners being engaged.
The following partners have been successful:
- Northern Rivers Social Development Council Ltd - Service areas: Central Coast, Far West, Northern NSW, Western NSW
- Uniting (NSW) - Service areas: Hunter New England, Illawarra Shoalhaven, Nepean Blue Mountains, North Sydney, Southern NSW, Western Sydney
- Mid Coast Communities (MCC) Ltd trading as Blue Sky - Service areas: Mid North Coast
- Intereach Limited - Service areas: Murrumbidgee
- Settlement Services International (SSI) - Service areas: South Western Sydney, Sydney
- Latrobe Community Health Services - Service area: South Eastern Sydney.
PITC will start transitioning these partners into the regions in July 2020.
Mainstream Capacity Building grant round
On 21 February 2020, $35.1 million (GST inc.) was awarded to 28 grants across Australia to provide three years of funding for activities that will enable people with disability to use and benefit from the same mainstream health services as everyone else.
The Mainstream Capacity Building Program is the fourth program to be implemented under the ILC Investment Strategy .

Economic and Community Participation grant round
On 21 February 2020, $32.7 million (GST inc.) was awarded to 28 grants across Australia to provide three years of funding for activities that will provide people with disability pathways to meaningful employment (including self-employment). These projects will also drive inclusive practices in community settings so that people with disability can participate in community life.
The Economic and Community Participation Program is the third program to be implemented under the ILC Investment Strategy .

Exceptionally Complex Support Needs Program
In November 2019, the Agency awarded up to $10 million to organisations across Australia to deliver the Exceptionally Complex Support Needs Program (ECSNP).
The ECSNP will support NDIS providers including support coordinators, as well as mainstream and community services to grow capability in responding to and supporting participants with exceptionally complex support needs.
The following Program Providers have been successful for their Program Area:
- Queensland – Mercy Community Services
- Western Australia – Nulsen Group
- New South Wales / Australian Capital Territory – Marathon Health
- Victoria – cohealth Ltd
- Tasmania – Richmond Futures.
ECSNP will have all Program Providers progressively appointed in the first half of 2020.
Individual Capacity Building Program grant round
On 13 December 2019, $105.9 million was awarded to 105 grants across Australia to provide three years of funding for activities that will enable systematic, nationwide access to peer support, mentoring and other skills-building for people with disability, carers and families. This grant round will also continue to strengthen Disabled Peoples and Families Organisations (DPO/FOs) through activities that boost their organisational capacity, for example, leadership training for staff, board members and/or volunteers with disability.
The Individual Capacity Building Program is the second program to be implemented under theILC Investment Strategy .

National Information Program grant round
On Friday, 11 October 2019, $65 million was awarded to 37 organisations across Australia to provide three years of funding for activities that will increase the accessibility, quality and consistency of information available for people with disability, their families and carers, as well as for relevant supports and services.
The National Information Program is the first program to be implemented under the ILC Investment Strategy.

2019 Economic Participation of People with Disability grant round
On Wednesday 31 July 2019, we committed $19.6 million of funding to build the capacity of Australian businesses and organisations to employ people with disability.
Funding was awarded to 64 organisations across Australia to provide 12 months of funding for community projects and activities that:
- Grow employment opportunities for people with disability
- Build self-employment capabilities for people with disability
- Increase the capacity for people with disability to participate in work.
This grant round lays the foundations for the upcoming Economic and Community Participation Program grant round detailed in the ILC Investment Strategy .

2018 Disabled People and Families Organisations (DPFO) grant round
The DPFO grant round has committed $15.5 Million (GST Incl.) to 114 organisations and 13 cohort group organisations to deliver one year projects from July 2019.
These grants will strengthen the foundations of the DPFO sector in time for the new approach for ILC grants as outlined in the ILC Investment Strategy , when we will see four nationally scalable programs that will deliver measurable outcomes for people with disability.

Disabled Peoples and Families Organisations
These are organisations who meet all three of the following criteria:
- Actively demonstrate their commitment to the Social Model of Disability, which seeks to remove barriers for people with disability to access mainstream services and live an ordinary life; and
- Are run by and for people with disability and/or their families; and
- Are led and controlled by people with disability and/or their families with a minimum membership of 50% of people with a disability and/or their families making up the organisation’s board, or staff, or volunteers or members.

Priority Cohort Organisations
These are organisations led by and for ILC’s Priority Cohort Groups – with a minimum of 50% representation of the cohort group on the board, or staff, or volunteers or members – ILC priority cohort groups for this funding round are:
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
- Culturally and Linguistically Diverse communities
- Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex and Questioning and Plus (LGBTIQ+)

2018 ILC Rural and Remote Grant Round
The ILC Rural and Remote Grant Round has committed $9,337,975.90 (GST Incl.) to 13 organisations to deliver one or two year projects from July 2018.
The grants help organisations and community groups to provide place-based and culturally specific information, resources and supports, unique to the needs of people with disability living in remote communities.
This grant funding represents a significant investment by the NDIS in driving improved access and culturally appropriate services and opportunities for people with disability, including people without an NDIS plan, to be independent and to participate in social and community life.

A total of 64 organisations were funded to deliver ILC projects.
