Minister for Families and Social Services, Paul Fletcher, and Assistant Minister for Social Services, Housing and Disability Services, Sarah Henderson, have today announced the members of the new NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Reference Group.
In January this year, the NDIS hit an important milestone. More than 250,000 participants are now benefitting from the NDIS. This means a quarter of a million people are receiving supports and services they need to achieve their goals, including more than 78,000 people who are receiving support and services for the first time.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is on track to put choice and control squarely in the hands of people with disability, their families and carers.
The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) Disability Reform Council met in June 2019 to endorse four major reforms to improve the delivery of the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
