The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is on track to put choice and control squarely in the hands of people with disability, their families and carers.
In January this year, the NDIS hit an important milestone. More than 250,000 participants are now benefitting from the NDIS. This means a quarter of a million people are receiving supports and services they need to achieve their goals, including more than 78,000 people who are receiving support and services for the first time.
The Federal Government has today announced an increase to price limits for therapy, attendant care and community participation under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), effective 1 July 2019. These price increases will inject more than $850 million into the NDIS market in 2019-20 so that NDIS participants can access the quality and innovative services and supports that meet their individual needs.
The NDIA would like to reassure people with disability in the Northern Territory, their families and carers that any person eligible for the NDIS will continue to receive the reasonable and necessary supports they need.
