The latest Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) data, including SDA demand data, is available on the Data Downloads page on the NDIS Data and Insights website.
To find the SDA data, expand Participant data downloads. The data to 31 December 2020 is under ‘Specialist Disability Accommodation participants’.
This data release is part of the NDIA’s commitment to publish additional SDA information for participants and the sector. The data helps participants and providers understand the current SDA supply, where the demand for SDA is greatest, and where there are opportunities for more SDA.
SDA data is also in NDIS Quarterly Reports to disability ministers.
The NDIA’s Quarterly reports to disability ministers include detailed data on SDA supply and some of the demand tables from this dataset in Appendix P of the report. Appendix P shows the number of active participants in each service district receiving SDA and Supported Independent Living (SIL). It also has information on the number and types of dwellings.
Appendix P of the Quarterly Report also has other detailed tables with information about enrolled SDA dwellings and SDA demand within the NDIS as at 31 December 2020. The data includes SDA demand across Statistical Area 3 (SA3) and Statistical Area 4 (SA4) regions.
