The Minister for Social Services, Dan Tehan has announced an Autism Advisory Group has been established to provide advice and feedback to the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
The NDIS has helped Melboure mum Jenny navigate the ongoing lockdown while managing her multiple sclerosis, and being the prime carer for her adult children who are all on the autism spectrum.
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) will host two community information sessions in Townsville on Friday 8 May to help people prepare for the roll out of the NDIS in Queensland.
Since the National Disability Insurance Agency opened its trial site in the Perth hills in July 2014, over 600 people with disability have received individualised plans helping them to live more independently and engage with their community.
The Commonwealth has provided an update on NDIS participants and workforce and COVID-19 as at Tuesday, 25 August 2020. The reporting will ensure accurate and timely information is being provided to the community.
