Minister for the NDIS Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC announced two new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) advancements for NDIS participants.

All NDIS participants aged 12-15 years will be able to receive a Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine from this Wednesday, 25 August.

The SDA Finder is a new interactive tool that helps participants search for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) vacancies that meet their needs.

From 23 December 2021, eligible supported independent living (SIL) participants and providers can claim up to $12.50 per rapid antigen test (RAT) when a support worker is required to undergo COVID-19 testing to safely deliver supports to a participant.

Providers, investors and the sector can use these insights, combined with other NDIS data and tools, to help guide decision-making, innovation and growth within the SDA market.

The medium term accommodation guideline has been updated to provide greater clarity on eligibility criteria and processes, as well as greater consistency in home and living supports planning decisions.
