Mind Australia is trialling the delivery of a time-limited, 12-24 month residential based recovery-orientated peer learning support program to participants with a significant psychosocial disability. The project focuses on a personal and shared recovery model that aims to improve access to community mental health services and supports participants in developing their informal and community supports networks. Through these measures, the project will help participants to build their capacity and confidence to transition to mainstream housing where they can achieve a greater level of independence.

Providers are required to move to the new pricing arrangement by 31 December 2023. In response to feedback, and to support providers who are yet to transition, we held eight provider information sessions, with over 700 providers in attendance. As we continue to support providers, we have now released a presentation series, which answers frequently asked questions.

NDIS participants are seeing faster decision-making through the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), thanks to targeted alternate dispute resolution initiatives. For AAT matters received in the past 12 months, the median weeks to close for matters resolved has almost halved from 31 to 18 weeks, latest data shows.
