Adjustment of plan values due to indexation

In July 2017, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) released the 2017-18 Price Guide for National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funded supports.

As has been the case in previous years, service values in participant plans have now been adjusted automatically in the system to match the new prices.

Indexation of participant plans has been backdated to 1 July 2017, therefore, some participants may notice additional funds added to their total NDIS budget as well as an increase or change to their existing service bookings.

If a provider would like to update their prices in line with the capped amount outlined in the 2017-18 Price Guide they should commence discussions with the participant about their current Service Agreement.

It is important providers refer to the Terms of Business for Registered Providers before commencing discussions to ensure they are complying with NDIA requirements.

Indexation will not be applied to periodic transport payment and In Kind items or if a service booking requires a quote and it has been received and approved.

Providers who have made a claim for services rendered since July 1 at the previous rate will be able to claim the difference in payment from participants. The NDIA will shortly release details about how providers can do this.

Participants or providers who have questions should contact the NDIA on 1800 800 110.
