Partners in the Community agreements extended

The NDIA has awarded $54.3 million in 12-month contract extensions to the NDIA’s Partners in the Community (PITC) in Tasmania and three service areas in Queensland and Victoria.

The NDIA’s PITC program delivers Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) services to Australians with disability.

With current agreements due to expire on 30 June 2020, the extended agreements ensure participants across these service areas continue to receive support and services as per their current arrangements.

For participants, these extensions provide the specific reassurance that they will continue to be supported by the same Partners delivering ECEI and LAC services.

These agreements with current Partners commence 1 July 2020 and have been extended for the 2020-2021 year as follows:

  • Tasmania:
    • ECEI/LAC services - Mission Australia (South East and North West regions), Baptcare Ltd (North and South West region).
  • Queensland:
    • LAC services - Carers Queensland (Rockhampton service area)
    • ECEI - BUSHkids (Rockhampton service area).
  • Victoria:
    • ECEI/LAC services - Brotherhood of St Laurence (Bayside Peninsula and Hume Moreland service areas).

Our Partners play a valued, central role in the delivery of NDIA services. They are often the first touchpoint for people with disability, their families and carers, making them the face of the Scheme in many communities.

Reaching full national coverage in mid-2019, the PITC Program has 27 partner organisations operating in all Australian states and territories.
