The Minister for the NDIS, Stuart Robert, today announced $400 million in grants to deliver frontline Local Area Coordination Services for the NDIS in New South Wales.

These included the temporary 10 per cent COVID price limit increases for some supports, advance payment, extension of NDIS plans, outreach to vulnerable participants, and expansion of the exceptionally complex support needs pathway. Property and luxury vehicles worth an estimated $340,000 have been forfeited to the Commonwealth following an investigation by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Fraud Taskforce.

The COAG Disability Reform Council met by telepresence on 9 April 2020. The focus of the meeting was on the national response to the coronavirus pandemic, in particular the effects of the response on people with disability.
