The Australian Government has today announced Mr Graeme Head AO as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the NDIA. The NDIA Board, headed by Chair Kurt Fearnley AO, appointed Mr Head for a 3 year term following an extensive, national recruitment process.

Our first meeting was collaborative, with strong engagement and a clear focus on making the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) more culturally safe, accessible, and responsive for First Nations peoples.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), Mr Robert De Luca, today informed the NDIA Board of his intention to resign from his role, effective immediately.

The NDIA is improving the experience participants from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds have when gaining access and engaging with the NDIS.

The closing time for the Exceptionally Complex Support Needs Program grant round has been extended to 2.00pm AEDT/AEST on 8 May 2019.

This afternoon the NDIA resolved an ICT issue that was impacting a limited number of myplace portal users. The NDIA apologises for any inconvenience caused.

We met to discuss NDIS access and equity for First Nations communities. Members listened to the outline of the new planning framework.

The Autism Advisory Group (AAG) met on Tuesday, 24 February 2026. The meeting was held online.
