The Australian Government welcomes 2 prison sentences handed down this week as unprecedented integrity actions continue to strengthen NDIS systems and protect participants.

A Chester Hill man, 37, was sentenced by the Paramatta District Court yesterday (7 September, 2026) to four years’ imprisonment for his role in a multimillion-dollar fraud against the NDIS and Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

This message is shared on behalf of the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing. The Australian Government is making changes to help secure the future of the NDIS.
