New resource – Guide for early intervention supports for children who are deaf or hard of hearing

We have launched a new guide for understanding supports: early intervention supports for children who are deaf or hard of hearing .

This is part of a series of resources for participants, families and carers to learn about evidence-based supports.

The guide is designed to help families and carers understand the supports that may be available to children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

It means families will have information about language and communication supports, supports for children’s wellbeing, and supports to help build knowledge and skills.

The guide also helps families and carers talk to providers about the best supports for their child and family.

The guide was developed by the NDIA’s Research and Evaluation Branch.

It was produced in consultation with families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing and organisations who support children and families.

We will continue to release more guides on different topics in the future.
