Independent Assessment Pilot extended until April 2019 and now includes participants approaching scheduled plan reviews

The Independent Assessment Pilot, which was launched in November 2018 to better understand the impact of disability for people seeking access to the NDIS, has been extended until April 2019.

So far, the pilot process has received positive feedback from participants and families who have chosen to participate, and it is expanding to now invite those who are approaching their scheduled plan review. The pilot has been extended to ensure a sufficient sample of participants complete assessments, so that meaningful conclusions can be drawn from the pilot.

The pilot is available in selected locations across NSW and individuals who are waiting on an access decision, new participants who are yet to develop a plan, or participants approaching a scheduled plan review are eligible to participate.
