The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) has released the NDIA Corporate Plan 2026–27 in accessible Word, PDF and Easy Read formats.
The corporate plan describes our purpose, key performance measures, and priorities for the next 4 years.
Importantly, it outlines how we will implement Government reforms to secure the future of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
We have already made significant progress implementing a new way of planning for participant plans and budgets.
Participants are playing an important role assisting us with testing the new way of planning, which is scheduled to roll out from April 2027.
We have updated our performance targets, refined our performance measures and improved our data sources, ensuring measures remain relevant, transparent and aligned with the Agency's evolving priorities.
A new efficiency measure has been added to support greater transparency and efficient stewardship of public resources. It will enable us to monitor the NDIA's operational expenditure as a proportion of total NDIS expenditure.
These changes reflect our ongoing commitment to accountability, continuous improvement and better outcomes for participants.
There is a lot more to be done over the next 12 months to implement the reforms, support continuous improvement and enhance how participants experience the NDIS.
We will continue to monitor and report against the key performance measures in the corporate plan to make sure the Agency continues to serve these objectives.
