Understanding the NDIS webinar: Supporting an NDIS Participant
Join us for an informative webinar focused on the different ways people can support an NDIS participant to make decisions and manage their supports.
Supported decision making is the process of providing support to people to make decisions to remain in control of their lives.
This session will explain key roles, responsibilities, and consent arrangements, helping participants and those who support them to better understand how decisions are made under the NDIS.
We will cover:
- Supported decision making and how it works in practice
- Nominees, guardians, and child representatives
- Participant consent and what it means
Who is this webinar for?
This session is designed for NDIS participants, carers, families, and kin, as well as supporting services such as advocacy organisations, peer support networks, and carers’ groups.
We also encourage mainstream services that support people with disability including health, education, housing, and community services to attend.
