Provider obligations for support coordinators

All support coordinators – registered and non-registered – are required to follow the NDIS Code of Conduct. There are guidelines available to help both NDIS providers and workers understand their obligations under the NDIS Code of Conduct.

Registered support coordinators must also meet the quality standards set out in the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators and ensure that workers in risk assessed roles have an NDIS Worker Screening Check. 

For specialist support coordinators, this also includes helping participants to address complex barriers which affect their access to appropriate supports.
