The NDIA and The Pharmacy Guild Australia have joined forces to make it easier for NDIS participants to book and access COVID-19 vaccinations through local pharmacies.

The Government’s strong commitment to protecting Australians living with a disability has been underlined, with the arrest of man for allegedly defrauding the NDIS of more than $120,000.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants will have greater opportunities to have their say in building a better scheme, through the new Participant Engagement Panel (PEP).

The NDIS has introduced a temporary measure to further support participants during the COVID-19 pandemic, with those in lockdown areas no longer needing to use their support funding to pay someone to cook and shop for them.

Public feedback is now invited on draft legislation to deliver a better experience for NDIS participants.

Eligible NDIS providers, with workers who live or work within 12 Sydney local government areas, can now claim a payment to support their disability workers to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
