Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC has announced two new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) advancements for NDIS participants, following a successful roundtable with the SDA sector today.

Minister for the NDIS, Stuart Robert, today released the Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) Design Standard - landmark guidelines that will spur a new era of housing construction and enhancement for Australians with disability. The SDA Design Standard will guide architects, builders and the community as they look for new and better ways to build specialist housing for people with disability.

The NDIA would like to reassure participants and their families the entities which have been subject of media reporting today in relation to alleged fraud and forgery, are not eligible for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) funding.
