Assistant Minister for Social Services, Housing and Disability Services, Sarah Henderson, today announced the commencement of the rollout of a new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Complex Support Needs Pathway.

Federal Minister for Families and Social Services, the Hon Paul Fletcher MP, and South Australia Minister for Human Services, Michelle Lensink, today announced South Australia Government’s Child and Youth Services (CYS) has become the first public sector staff in Australia to form their own employee-led mutual to deliver NDIS for ECEI services throughout the state.

The NDIA today announced a pilot which will use independent health professionals with experience in disability to undertake functional assessments, so that participants are able to access and use appropriate supports through the NDIS.
