Advance payment offset

In June and July 2016 advance payments were made to a number of self-managed participants to support them during the transition to the new NDIS portal. These payments were made to ensure participants continued to receive supports.

These participants received an advance payment to help them pay for their supports. The NDIA now needs to acquit these advance payments. If you are affected by this you will be contacted by phone, mail and NDIS myplace portal to explain how the offsetting process will work.

In early August 2017, the NDIA began contacting affected participants to advise them that their advance payment would be offset in the week commencing 11 September 2017.

Unfortunately, the NDIA has been unable to make direct contact with a number of participants.

Any participant who has not been contacted by the NDIA, and is concerned about the offset of their advance payment, is encouraged to contact the NDIS to discuss their individual circumstances.
