How we engage with researchers and the disability sector

On this page:

The NDIS is a central part of the disability landscape. The research we conduct answers important questions that support participants and the NDIS in decision making.

We use rigorous research and evaluation methods that are designed in consultation with people with disabilities and their families and carers.

We then package our high quality research and evaluation findings in ways that increase independence, choice and control in participants.

Engaging with the NDIS

We actively support researchers and the disability sector to conduct research that benefits participants and relates to the NDIS’ strategic aims.

You can request access to the following for research purposes:

  • tailored releases of NDIS data
  • administrative data held by the NDIA
  • collaboration for research and evaluation projects
  • staff.

Please complete the External Research Request Form or email us at [email protected]. All requests are assessed within 45 days and notice will be given about the outcome.
