You can claim from your self-managed budget in the my NDIS portal. You can also upload a receipt or invoice when making a claim and save favourite claims to make claiming for regular supports even faster.

Yes. You can submit up to 10 claims at a time in the my NDIS portal.

You can find the ABN for a payee in three ways:

on your receipt or tax invoice
you can contact the payee to ask for their ABN
you can search for the ABN by using the Australian Government’s ABN lookup tool .

If your payee has an ABN, you should enter it when making a claim in the my NDIS participant portal.

We know there are some supports where you won’t have an ABN, like overseas purchases or support workers you employ directly.

If your payee doesn’t have an ABN, you can check the “my payee does not have an ABN” box when claiming to skip this step.

We will work with participants, providers, and the sector to understand what kinds of supports won’t have an ABN, and what other information we should ask for in those cases.

No. You don’t have to upload a document to submit a claim.

You can upload a maximum of 5 files. They must be in doc, docx, pdf, jpeg, jpg, jpe, gif, bmp, png, pnt, pntg, xml, txt format and under 5MB each.

Yes. You will be able to view the uploaded documents in the myplace portal the next day. You can’t open these documents in the myplace portal yet.

You will need to make the claim between the start and end dates of your current plan.

If your support was given over more than one days, select the option ‘Support ran over multiple days’ and enter the start and end dates for your support.

You can view the reason a claim was rejected in the myplace participant portal.

You will see an alert if you enter the same claim details as a claim you have already submitted.

If it is not a mistake you can continue submitting the claim.

When you save a favourite claim the my NDIS portal saves the payee's name, description (optional) and support category.

You will be able to see your favourite claims in the my NDIS app and new portal.

Yes. You can see favourite claims you have saved in the my NDIS app.

If you make a new favourite claim in the my NDIS portal, it will show up in the app too.

Yes. Claims from your current, self-managed budget submitted using the my NDIS portal will be visible in the myplace portal and vice versa.
